Technology

ABRI is currently involved in the design and development of technology for the extraction of energy from biomass and its conversion to fuels and bio-products, the most common being the production of Bio Oil from the pyrolysis of agricultural biomass. This technology is designed to provide high yields of valuable products while minimizing environmental impact and maximizing profit.

We have to date developed processes for many types of biomass waste from forestry, agriculture, municipal and industrial sources. Some of the technology which ABRI has researched so far,

Our drier design allows large size reduction and moisture removal from biomass and uses much less energy then conventional biomass dryer systems. The use of chain flail dryer systems is relatively new and offers the benefit of using much less energy but also preformed the same function as a hammermill eleminating the need for an additinal process. The capital cost for this type of dryer is also much less then conventional systems since it is able to achieve high throughput without the need for large components.

Our patiented rapid heat transfer process provides an efficient method for transfering energy to the reaction. This process utilizes waste heat and energy limiting the reliance for external power.
