Biomass Pelleting
Another option for the storage of energy using biomass is pelletization; this compresses the low density biomass into a high density form which can be shipped and stored more economically. The advantages of this process are a fuel source which can easily be used to power gasification systems to generate heat and power as well as for other commercial and residential systems such as pellet stoves and fireplaces.
Standard Pellets are approximately 4 times more dense then the biomass they were produced from. Pellets can be produced from biomass which has been dryed using our chain-flail dryer system or directly from biomass with low moisture content.
